Bring Your Horses!

When the ranch community was developed many of the first residents built custom homes and brought their horses to this beautiful part of southern New Mexico. Today, several of the Berrenda Creek and Lake Valley properties are set up with barns, corrals, and arenas.

Training and Recreation

The ranch provides a great, backcountry training ground for navigating trails, stones, ditches and arroyo’s with your horse. In addition, homeowners have direct access to the adjacent public lands, including BLM, State, and Gila National Forest lands — providing an amazing opportunity to explore the area.

Say That Again — How Much Land for Riding?

Residents at the Berrenda Creek and Lake Valley ranch community have direct access to a vast amount land for horseback riding. Berrenda Creek Ranch is approximately 24,000 acres and Lake Valley Ranch is approximately 50,000 acres. The conservation easement designation at both ranches ensures preservation of the land, wildlife, and environment, not to mention the stunning foothill views of the Mimbres and Black Range mountains.

The Berrenda Creek and Lake Valley Ranch Community is located three hours south of Albuquerque and 80 miles north of Las Cruces. We are 10 miles south of the historic mining town of Hillsboro, New Mexico a small, residential community in Sierra County.

Spanning 72,000 acres of private, public, and conservation land in the Black Range foothills the Berrenda Creek and Lake Valley Ranch Community includes 34 beautiful custom homes, a working cattle ranch, miles of recreation trails, wildlife corridors, stunning landscapes, and high desert mountain views.
